A Feast for Crows

The fourth installment in George R. R. Martin's *A Song of Ice and Fire* series, *A Feast for Crows* finds the Seven Kingdoms in a fragile, uneasy truce following the catastrophic events of the previous volume. With the death of King Joffrey and the defeat of the Northern rebellion, the war has burned itself out, leaving a landscape of ash and ruin. However, this apparent peace is a thin veneer over deep-seated tensions. As survivors, outlaws, and opportunists gather to pick over the bones of the dead, new and dangerous alliances form. The narrative shifts focus to the political maneuvering in King's Landing, the grim realities of the Wall, and the scattered fates of the Stark children, all while the threat of magic and ancient evils looms on the horizon.
