Animal Farm

This allegorical novella follows the livestock of Manor Farm as they overthrow their human owner and establish a self-governing society. Under the initial guidance of the pigs, the animals draft the Seven Commandments, promising equality and the elimination of human exploitation. However, as the narrative progresses, the leadership fractures, and the pigs gradually adopt the very habits and privileges of the humans they overthrew. The story serves as a sharp critique of totalitarianism, illustrating how revolutionary ideals can be corrupted by power and how language can be manipulated to justify oppression.
