Blood Song

The first volume of the Raven's Shadow trilogy follows Vaelin Al Sorna, a young man abandoned by his father at the gates of the Sixth Order, a militant religious brotherhood devoted to the sword. Trained in an austere, celibate, and dangerous environment, Vaelin struggles to reconcile his rage at being stripped of his birthright with the rigid discipline of his new life. As he rises through the ranks, he begins to uncover the complex motives behind his father's actions and the true, world-altering destiny that awaits him.
