Catching Fire
In the second installment of the Hunger Games trilogy, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark return to the Capitol for the Victory Tour, a public spectacle designed to showcase the Capitol's power and the tributes' gratitude. The tour becomes a dangerous political minefield as Katniss navigates the Capitol's opulence and the growing unrest in the districts. Her ambiguous actions during the Games have sparked a rebellion, and she is now a symbol of resistance she is unsure she wants to lead. As the Capitol tightens its grip and the threat of a new, more brutal Games looms, Katniss must balance her survival, her complex relationships with Peeta and Gale, and the moral weight of her unintended role in the uprising.
