Rick Joy: Desert Works

This monograph presents the first comprehensive look at the work of Rick Joy, a prominent architect known for his sensitive and precise approach to the American Southwest. The volume features nine buildings that demonstrate Joy's ability to create spaces that are transcendent moments of light, matter, and silence. Rather than focusing solely on structural innovation, the text emphasizes the sensory experience of the architecture, highlighting how tactile materials, natural sounds, and specific environmental conditions evoke deep emotional responses.
