I admire people who can live out loud, embracing their authenticity. Its great when people can do that. But not everybody can. My authentic self is a wounded little boy with deep traumatic problems. My mask is the only thing that allows me to function and participate in society, so I need it.
yeah, I didn't mean the original post to imply ppl shouldn't wear a mask... it's more of a question- how do I engage with someone not in authentic-mode when authentic-mode is kinda my main mode and I'm really bad at playing?
