ok, my ultimate political/religious take: I don't support the death penalty or exiling citizens, so my politics are moderated by the need to coexist, even with really really shitty ppl. Taking away someone's right to communicate or travel or transact ought to be a last resort w due process.
And even then imo there's cause for peaceful resistance if the laws are unjust & oppressive.
