As I'm fumbling to get DC Metro to recognize my phone and let me in, I saw 3 separate people (2 in my direction and 1 coming out) just nonchalantly step over the turnstyle.
sigh it irks me... I want fare free buses n off hours (use fares to control peak demand, not for funding), but if ppl insist we need fares then we need enough enforcement so it doesn't become de facto fare-free for those agile enough to step over / the old n disabled pay
