see, I'd step that right down to "actually grow a plant" I've had debates with people who know way more "theory" than I do on biodiversity and never planted a garden or managed a lawn.
ehhhh I don't care so much about the practical side, it's more abt having a mental model for an ecosystem's complexity and feedback loops.
