Basically you tell the state you're homeschooling and then you just let your kids spend their days however they want, ideally with a lot of enrichment and interesting opportunities to go see/do things if they'd like to
yep, my sister homeschools and is somewhere in the middle on this- they have a math workbook but otherwise she finds activities depending on what they're interested in and they do a lot of field trips w a homeschooling group and otherwise
