in the past 24 hrs Ive been informed that "Rat" as shorthand for "Rationalist" is an anti-Semitic dog whistle ... that "hysterical" is a slur (I was recounting a story where someone called me hysterical) ... and had a tweet censored for saying "coo n make empathic faces" to soothe a crying baby
like, I don't want to use slurs or insult anyone but the language police make me want to stop posting ... and this is why I'm very skeptical of all the talk of "ban the account at the first infraction"
