Yeah mod action can't resolve things like this, just mete out punishments that no one particularly deserves. We have not invented a form of restorative justice that can be administered between strangers fighting on the internet, unfortunately.
yeah... but I do think the ambiguity & gaslighting effect of deleted posts is unhelpful- like, if deletion were in the interest of the "victim", they would not be posting screenshots of it... a retraction that removes the post from distribution but keeps it visible via link imo would be better...
