When somebody throws an over-the-top charge or label at a person/topic, it creates a dynamic where others are hesitant to even disagree or speak out for fear of association with it, even though examination of that claim could reveal it to be completely absurd
lol I had you on my "eagerly uses the term nazi" mute list... imo having these toxic thought-stopping words is bad for genuine conversation and we should just ignore anyone who insists on using them
