Yus. May be possible on the UI end to show you enough of the account to let you unfollow if blocked.
yeah, being able to remove your side of a former mutualship is good (and can be done now w api call)... making a core use case more difficult to support an edge case is a bad UX decision (and if it's not an edge case to block your friends... ummm perhaps this is not a technical problem)
