my stereotype of WVians is that they are extremely nice and genuine I'm glad to have this validated once again
they're shy and gruff till you get to know them- product of the rugged terrain creating isolated small communities, plus being acutely aware of their poverty & lack of education & the negative stereotypes...
but once they relax a bit ... some of the most giving and genuine ppl you'll meet
