To each their own! I come from a blue-collar Eastern European family, so Chicago is more aligned to my vibe (and gastronomic impulses). I enjoy visiting DC but it feels a little too hoity-toity for me to live there.
I grew up here & extended fam is mostly local ... am so glad Jose Andres is here tho lol
