@spicymayopacket Yeah, I'm baffled how my $4K / yr local property tax covers schools, local roads, fire/police, parks, libraries, elections and local govt, local court and , planning and inspections, and social services, but then another $55K of state and federal taxes for ...???
@spicymayopacket I'd feel much better about paying taxes if the proportion was reversed- sure a bit of money for dept of war and state and national parks, but mostly keep the spending local in the community where taxpayers / voters can see the benefit
