@albrgr Testing should have been organized to minimize community spread, not tests on-demand for people with privilege while covid spread unseen among service workers.
@albrgr Labs should have only been paid for test results returned quickly, with bonus for speed- everyone finding out 7 days later was not helpful for contact tracing and targeted shutdowns.
@albrgr States should have stood up test teams to go out and collect samples where positive results were most likely to be found according to data- grocery store workers should've been receiving tests at their jobsite, contacts should've received home visits to collect samples, etc.
@albrgr Also, some of the stimulus money should have instead been a gift card attached to the positive test result to ensure people could afford to stay home. The more recent stimulus should have been attached to vaccination so you'd get $2K in the mail right as you became immune.
