@robinhanson @krishnanrohit @GarettJones Some of it is that "change agent" status allows you to question assumptions, ask *really* dumb questions, and run the numbers on alternatives... It isn't about walking in with knowledge but about different incentives creating different mindset from steady-state productivity.
@robinhanson @krishnanrohit @GarettJones As a consultant, I think of my job as catalyzing productive conversations- if I'm doing it right I'll fade into the background as key client personnel start getting excited and having insights in conversation with each other to answer my "dumb" question.
