@yhdistyminen I think it is rarely so clear-cut. On one hand I'm a high-income white gentrifier who bought a home in a diverse affordable immigrant neighborhood, on the other my grandparents lived nearby back in the 60s and I've lived within a few block radius since college.
@yhdistyminen If you go by who has the deeper local connections, I belong; if you believe that everyone should buy the most expensive housing they can afford in the neighborhood that most matches their skin tone, I don't.
@yhdistyminen I've concluded that caring about "gentrification" is a progressive excuse for maintaining segregated housing and not investing in nice public works in poor areas.
