@cjereneta Hm, that second one is awfully wordy... In established groups I could use it, after gaining credibility that I'm worth hearing out despite low hierarchical status.. in new groups I feel there's a "shot clock" for us geeks to make a point that resonates with a leader.

@cjereneta This is why previously I've seen "could we just" as a phrase that would add 10s to the clock because people like simplifications when they're frustrated with complexity.

@cjereneta I do use "engaged" and "open" body language when making these suggestions- leaning in, head tilted, slightly smiling countenance, eye contact showing concern for the reaction of the most frustrated / likely objectors, usually holding a pen to take down notes when they reply...
