@RokoMijic Imo the "genetic superiority" arguments put way too much weight on small average diffs between groups and not enough on the standard deviation within each group- a diverse meritocracy that seeks out the best individual talent > placing ppl according to racial averages or quotas

@RokoMijic And my experience here in my community is that all different ethnicities live together and intermarry and the lines are very quickly blurring- in another few generations most ppl will be "mixed"- which is hardly the recipe for a race war.

@RokoMijic But in the meantime, I do see the legacy of discrimination and I'm not going to lie about it. I'm an election worker in a historically Black precinct- there's a noticable diff between resigned shrugging acceptance vs outraged protest when a voter registration is messed up.

@RokoMijic You can see the privileged/white expectation that the system should be fair and friendly to voters vs the suspicion and resignation towards a system that was once quite racist. I want a world where all my neighbors expect the system will work for them because it usually does.
