@QiaochuYuan Omg this thread brings up so much resentment in me... I grew up in "sincere mode"- didn't realize others were playing a signaling game, made myself so miserable that I landed in the psych ward, had to reject a lot of idealistic beliefs to get to a place where I didn't hate myself
