@acidshill My small employer is open to “blue ocean” entry hires who don’t have a CS degree… we send an online quantitative reasoning test to applicants, if you score high then we’re interested in knowing your story and testing if you can code
@acidshill Imo it’s important to have thought through your story and be very authentic and self-aware about your journey and what life lessons you’ve learned along the way, even if it’s not directly tech / formal education
@acidshill And then with coding interviews, remember that it’s about showing job skills- can you write code that solves problems and can you communicate with teammates about your thinking
