@anonynaut Yes- if my assets all evaporated and my current job disappeared there’s still huge demand for software devs and I live in a place with a lot of resources for homelessness so I’d be in the emergency shelter and use the library computers to find a new job and then apartment.
@anonynaut Ok tbh if losing access to family isn’t part of your hypothetical I’d be staying with some of them just long enough to rent a new apartment with the cash they’d loan me. Local family + in-demand job skills + good credit history go a long way if you’re basically healthy.
