@lumpthought This stuff is coming up as ppl notice that AIs are beginning to produce a decent facsimile of a bio-human… which makes us uneasily contemplate free will vs determinism- where do our thoughts come from and could we think any thoughts or make any decisions an AI can’t?
@lumpthought And as AI begins to be *more* capable than humans, what’s our relationship to it- are we all NPCs in the main character AGI light-cone? My take is that I’m looking forward to more capable management taking over and to have more leisure time as a pet of the AGI.
