@thevoidbeckon imo this would be terrible optics for them bec ppl will immediately extrapolate to "Teslas can only be driven on enhanced roads, which don't exist, and why should the public subsidize Tesla by building them" ... like, see their struggle w charging stations n range anxiety
@thevoidbeckon even if it was a consortium of self driving companies promoting some new standard for self-driving roads, they'd all be incentivized to figure out ways to not rely on it, as a competitive advantage
