@HephaistosF @moultano ofc downsides showed up during covid- preemptive cancellation of any new curriculum during remote schooling in the name of "equity", teachers first in line for vaxx but the teachers union decided not to resume in person schooling for the rest of the year anyway, promised summer school to catch up but couldn't recruit enough teachers and had to cancel... so like, teachers union before equal bad test scores before educating kids as well as possible 🤷‍♀️
