@lumpenspace @nickcammarata I am happy in Arlington too! I can walk to groceries & parks & a bunch of good restaurants & library & buses to get most places, but also live among mature trees & green space, it's peaceful & I feel safe wandering around at all hours of the night when I can't sleep... I'm a bit involved in local politics & planning & groups, (excited to see construction of HQ2 Pen Place in the next few years!) But several years back I realized I could just pay off my home and retire w maybe a part time job, or I could buy a bigger house (which I don't really need), or I could do something else- decided to try to live my dream of custom modern construction immersed in nature w space for guests... while also keeping my urban life which I enjoy too
