@DavePunFun 🤷‍♀️ I feel like profit vs. nonprofit is less clearcut than how ppl are framing it as just greed or something ... OAI needs massive amounts of compute which takes massive amounts of capital which yes they can raise BUT for instance their MSFT deal is limited to profits from pre-AGI models so AGI can be back to idealistic nonprofit... if AGI is close / somewhere between GPT-5 & GPT-7, then they need to find profits to justify the raise from products between now and then... such as a GPT-store also goal of bringing AI to the masses- platform & UX matters and the market hasn't provided (see samas prev comments on GPT vs ChatGPT), and wanting to keep prices low vs profit-maxxing with whatever the market will bear given the compute constraints
