@ilex_ulmus I feel like you had great insight into the answer to this question 4 days ago when you pointed out how strongly people want to have a "tribe" .... and yet how it can be unhealthy for the tribe to demand ideological purity, incentivizing ideological warfare vs outgroup beliefs for social reasons not pursuit of truth. e/acc memes and vibes are loose and messy so we can keep thinking critically and not feel tension between updating beliefs when convinced vs need to conform to the ideology of the tribe.
