to what extent do you feel loyalty to relatives who you believe to be pretty awful humans?
I struggle w this because I feel some loyalty and some pragmatic desire to not feud w them unnecessarily, but at the same time I have a few cousins who have done some seriously fucked up shit - one in and out of prison, another who robbed his own dad for drug money, another who scams ppl & shamelessly tells me about it w "that makes me smart" vibes
and the third one... treated her ex's child pretty awfully, making him eat dinner alone in his room, forbidding him from buying the kid anything for Christmas, just... it's been years and i still feel angry about how she treated an innocent kid
