@foomagemindset he was, tho not quite how ppl tend to imagine "patriarch" as stern authoritarian- my grampi always had a twinkle in his blue eyes and would listen and advise but never insisted on his way... tho his way was always doing "the right thing" not the selfish thing... like, his favorite book to read us was The Butter Battle Book by Dr Seuss... even as he had worked as engineer on all these missile systems he also was always teaching us the futility of war
