everyone jokes about IQ gap power dynamics but i feel like the real & under-appreciated issue is EQ gap power dynamics
and like any power dynamic it's not only "person w leverage will use it selfishly" but also the issues of how to relate w consent n does the person on the low power end weaponize it via guilt or social pressure, etc
and like wealth or IQ, EQ can be very beneficial to the couple when they're aligned w common goals, so it's not like anyone really wants to select against any of these traits...
