overall i agree w this & quoted essay but i think "ask" is the wrong word, "demand" or "need" is more accurate- because imo skillful invitations that are truly optional are a positive thing- but key to be truly fine with a no....
what's the difference between a needy ask and a charismatic invitation? i know they feel different to give & to receive but what looks different from the outside?
