@bastard_brian when i'm eating out of my garden, where i don't use any pesticides or etc, i still need to rinse off the dirt or else my salads and especially the root vegetables are gritty 🤢 wrt why not wash them sooner vs just before eating- exposure to water after picking can speed up rot
