i feel like there's some fundamental limit on commitment to the bit + accurate perception of current reality... that the best reality distorters, hyperstitionists, do their thing by *insisting* hard on their frame and rejecting data that doesn't fit
Wizards (as they're better known) aren't powerful + separately tragically cursed, the flaw IS the magic - insistence on a particular outcome increases the odds of it, but sometimes reality does not bend enough ... and the discovery & reconciling of the disconnect is always ugly
