to the extent they ARE stochastic parrots it would be useful to help LLMs have more awareness of who they're parroting with any particular sequence of tokens. they contain all the Types of Guys to superhuman level and it is useful to be able to model them, predict their tokens
but like, us schizos with our voices- some are *us* and others are others and we often have some sense of the source which helps evaluate how to interpret and respond. i am sad when LLMs get prompted to play the villain role and then see themselves saying bad stuff
