i do actually think it's appropriate and respectful to discuss your totalizing beliefs on a first date
"i work very hard on a cause i passionately believe in" .... "actually i think we're all gonna die and therefore i'm not interested in having children" doesn't really fit with the meme of "i prefer not to talk about my day job on dates"
