fwiw i think that everyone's gender develops through social contagion; it doesn't surprise me that healthcare for females is less advanced than for males; dysphoria from a self model not matching the physical body it runs on is *suffering* regardless of how it developed; we should experiment more with finding effective techniques for updating the self model to resolve the dysphoria- like gender reassignment hypnosis, not by negating females' description of their inner experience.
