wrt homeschooling, i was homeschooled for 3 years of hs and attended community college night classes instead, got an associates degree in cs and spent a lot of time pleasure reading, with my horse, and working at the family business. the state had me take an annual standardized test and i later got my ged without studying for it i think homeschooling was lifesaving for me because it let me get outside in sunlight through the winter and i'd hate to see it undermined as an option
