imo claiming moral superiority on the basis of a commitment to reducing global suffering according to a utilitarian "shut up and multiply" framework, but then continuing to eat meat at anywhere near the normal american rate seems like a contradiction that makes me distrust whether their words cash out to actions i would endorse
