+1 wrt govt at least- they're messaging their commitment to ai being a competitive ecosystem of private companies and open source, and willing+able to evaluate and respond rapidly to risk created by new models... what were people expecting? wrt anthropic im more confused by their actions unless they intended to trigger this sequence of events?
