sure, there have been some, but i feel like most ppl were apathetic about them or if more politically engaged appreciated the local tax revenue tradeoff of hosting them? unless one was personally affected by them being an immediate neighbor replacing trees / farmland or adding power lines / substations near your land? anyway as a western loudoun property tax payer i really don't want to be on the hook for paying for service expectations established with datacenter tax revenue
