This sequel to Little Women and Little Men follows the young men of Plumfield, Jo March's school for boys, as they navigate the transition from boyhood to manhood. The narrative reencounters familiar characters such as Nat, the orphaned street musician now studying at a conservatory, and Dan, who returns from the gold mines of California, alongside other classmates dealing with business, adventure, and personal growth.
