The Order War

The Order War is the fourth installment in L. E. Modesitt Jr.'s Saga of Recluce, a long-running epic fantasy series set in the isolated island nation of Recluce. The narrative follows the protagonist, a young mage navigating the complex political and magical hierarchies of his society. As the title suggests, the story centers on a conflict between opposing magical forces, often framed as a struggle between order and chaos, which threatens the stability of the island's unique culture.
