  70. Feb 13, 2022Twitter · reply@RokoMijic I really think C exists in the minds of a small group of overly online activists, and people who want B are getting fed up with it- but doesn't mean anyone wants A.

Feb 13, 2022Twitter · reply@borrfdad @janetwerther @ButNotTheCity I'm not talking about a million here or there, I'm talking about the situation where one person is desperate and the other has so much money they wouldn't miss it to solve all their partner's money problems. 74. Feb 13, 2022Twitter · reply@borrfdad @janetwerther @ButNotTheCity The power dynamic is unhealthy. Rich women should date rich men- poor men are more likely to cheat or abuse you because they're subconsciously trying to shift the balance of power.

  88. Feb 12, 2022Twitter · reply@DistractedAnna I'd love to take some GMU econ classes, but the econ department seems almost hostile to non-degree students so I haven't. Community colleges are way more friendly and encouraging, with lower tuition too.
  89. Feb 12, 2022Twitter · reply@DistractedAnna I meant there's a lot of non-degree programs and also retirees and others taking classes for personal interest- I've taken art classes and had a blast though it did zero for my career.
  90. Feb 12, 2022Twitter · reply@DistractedAnna Imo the flip side of the "not getting a degree" is that the coursework is more valuable in itself, lots of people take some classes, get what they need out of it and move on.
  91. Feb 12, 2022Twitter · reply@DistractedAnna Yeah, it's funny, at the community college I went to, you might have the First Lady teaching you remedial English composition https://news.yahoo.com/first-lady-jill-biden-returns-155831198.html
  92. Feb 12, 2022Twitter · reply@DistractedAnna Community college was great for me- you get teachers who also work in their field during the day, teach one night class per semester for the love of teaching & their subject matter... More diverse views than incestuous elite academia.
