Bloodhound

In this fourth installment of the Beka Cooper series, the protagonist has finally earned her place as a Dog, a member of the Provost's Guard in the capital city of Corus. However, peace is threatened by a surge in counterfeit coins that destabilizes the local economy. Beka traces the illicit currency to Port Caynn, where she infiltrates the gambling dens to uncover the source of the fraud. Her investigation leads her to an abandoned silver mine, forcing her to move beyond her usual aggressive, terrier-like tactics. To succeed, she must learn to be a Bloodhound, using patience and keen intuition to sniff out the criminals hiding in plain sight.
