  22. May 26, 2023Twitter · reply@tallsnail yeah, tho also lol abt the extra clutter I have bec I think I'll want it in the new house... but yeah the desire for the perfect dream home vs the practical constraints (and tbh not quite knowing what the budget IS since parents will do a construction loan...)

  24. May 26, 2023Twitter · reply@tallsnail sigh I know the feeling- for me it's a second home and no time pressure so I'm dragging my feet n hoping money constraints shift over time somehow but like... sigh
  25. May 26, 2023Twitter · replylike, the # of men on here who talk so casually abt marriage or like "finding a wife" as if it's a quest not a relationship w two sides to it https://t.co/X0xJ1mWSZx
  26. May 26, 2023Twitter · reply@LastNPCAlex idk if that helps either tbh, I really don't understand the psychology... it's like, projected at me but weirdly feels impersonal like they're talking to fantasy-mimi not actual me
  27. May 26, 2023Bluesky · replyyeah I get it... just thinking in terms of choice and who kinda opts in to conflict... or like, some ppl feel like their thread, their replies are their territory to moderate
  28. May 25, 2023Bluesky · replysigh idk, out of context this depends... like, drunk ex uninvited pounding on my door at 3am, I expect I don't have to let him in just because he showed up if I feel unsafe abt it, but it does leave him outside falling down drunk at 3am which is less safe for him than if I let him in?
  29. May 25, 2023Twitter · postsigh, I feel so weird abt the parasocial thing that happens on here despite me never sharing pics... kinda wanna try to remove the gender expression from my account for awhile tho don't wanna change my username

  35. May 25, 2023Twitter · postbest feature of bluesky is the slightly different notification logic- if ppl start a long convo in your replies you stop getting notified when it's 5 deep
  36. May 25, 2023Twitter · reply@smylkshmn @lillybilly299 some guys struggle to deal w a pretty woman being nice to them, the cognitive dissonance....

  75. May 25, 2023Bluesky · replyyeah mixed feelings- the chickens at the homestead market near my cabin seem happy but also their eggs are expensive / at scale it's tough to replace all the intensive egg farming w humane methods...
  76. May 25, 2023Bluesky · replysomewhat both, but I feel the stronger more universal argument is welfare & environmental sustainability... like, hunting at a sustainable level doesn't bother me as much as factory farming but otoh personally I dislike the violence involved and wouldn't eat it
  77. May 25, 2023Bluesky · replyhmm my go to cookbooks are "Isa Does It" and the Veganomicon - I love peanut curry sauce on tofu n rice n greens ... chocolate walnut waffles w fruit topping ... and like, bowls w roasted sweet potato, brussel sprout, cauliflower

  85. May 25, 2023Bluesky · reply😅 remember I am old, but 18 years now + 5 vegetarian before that
  86. May 25, 2023Bluesky · replyyeah... otoh the thing where ppl highlight someone "problematic" and say "we need to mass report them" seems dysfunctional here, where they've said the reports are manually evaluated and many ppl reporting the same thing doesn't change the equation
  87. May 25, 2023Bluesky · replyhow intentional is it to "initiate a dog pile", like what actual behavior would you be looking for?
  88. May 25, 2023Bluesky · replyyeah I've not followed it that closely since I'd probably not eat it- am not a big fan of meat-like foods after all these years- but I'm hopeful!!!

  91. May 25, 2023Bluesky · replyI still like Peter Singer's Animal Liberation for the animal rights philosophy... wrt environmental impact I think abt this chart a lot- it's the scale that makes it tough
  92. May 25, 2023Bluesky · replyummm, there's so many memes abt vegans being the Worst™️ that I don't usually say much... and imo from animals & environmental perspective even reducing consumption a lot and being selective abt the animal products you do consume can make a big difference
  93. May 25, 2023Twitter · reply@tabatkins @SwiftOnSecurity I rarely touch the brake driving my Tesla but it does turn on the brake lights https://www.notateslaapp.com/tesla-reference/1051/how-tesla-s-regenerative-braking-works https://t.co/iKoDHB6oJ7
