May 27, 2023Bluesky · replyyeah... but I do think the ambiguity & gaslighting effect of deleted posts is unhelpful- like, if deletion were in the interest of the "victim", they would not be posting screenshots of it... a retraction that removes the post from distribution but keeps it visible via link imo would be better...

May 26, 2023Bluesky · replysigh, imo "Blocking = they can't see my content" is misleading (which can be *harmful* if ppl post doxxable details!!!) when it's all public & they can still see it if they just log out... but be that as it may, if you let it be client side the blocked can just run a diff client, one step easier

I think I'll stick to my prev stance which is notifications are only for ppl I follow, and then I'll scroll the full replies when in the mood
